We have really enjoyed meeting all our new starters over the past 6 weeks. If there is anything you are unsure about, please speak to a member of staff—we’re always happy to help.

Silver Smarties Fundraiser

If you haven’t yet returned your Smartie tube, please do so by the end of next week.
Thank you for taking part and supporting our pre-school—it really makes a difference!

Getting Ready for School

You now know which school your child will be attending.

To help your child prepare for this transition, please encourage independence at home. Practising simple skills like putting on their own shoes and coats, and using cutlery at mealtimes, will make a big difference when they start school.

Important reminder:
Please ensure all clothing and belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s full name—especially coats, sweatshirts, hats, bags, toys, and umbrellas.

Holidays

If you are planning a holiday during term time, a holiday form must be completed to comply with funding requirements.

Warmer Weather

As the weather gets warmer, please:

Apply sun cream to your child before they arrive
Provide a sun hat clearly labelled with their name

Sponsored Obstacle Course

Our annual sponsored event will take place during the week commencing 11th May. Children will participate during their usual session to help raise funds for the pre-school.

Open Day

We are really excited to be hosting our Open Day on Saturday, and can’t wait to meet lots of new families. Please bring along friends and families and spread the word.

Tummy Bugs & Absences

If your child has sickness or diarrhoea, please keep them at home until 48 hours after the last episode.

If your child is unable to attend for any reason, please call us on 01773 607885 to inform us and provide a reason for their absence. This is important for safeguarding and funding requirements.

Leaver’s Ceremony

Our Leaver’s Ceremony will take place at Swanwick Methodist Church on Saturday 18th July at 10:00am.

This is always a lovely event where the children perform some of their favourite songs, followed by refreshments. We hope you can join us to celebrate!
