Our Commitment To Children And Families

High-Quality Care And Early Education

We provide high-quality childcare in a safe and nurturing environment where children learn through play. Our thoughtfully designed curriculum supports early learning, social development, and school readiness—encouraging young minds to grow with confidence in a supportive, engaging, and playful setting.

Our experienced team

Every member of our team is DBS checked and fully trained in paediatric first aid and safeguarding. Our staff include a qualified teacher, as well as Level 6, Level 5, and Level 3 trained professionals. Most importantly, we’re so excited to welcome you and your little one.

Working partnership with parents & Equality and Diversity

We work closely with families, sharing updates and offering support so every child can learn and develop with confidence. We welcome every child and family, promoting fairness, respecting differences, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. We also play an active role in the Swanwick community, building strong, positive links to support children, families, and the wider community.

A Little About Us

Our pre-school has been established since 1969 and is based in a converted church in the village of Swanwick, Derbyshire. We provide high-quality care and education for pre-school children aged two and a half to five years old.

Our friendly, dedicated, and highly qualified staff work together to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive. The pre-school is charity managed by a committee of parents who work in partnership with our staff, helping to support the smooth running of the setting.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring every child’s learning and development is supported through play-based experiences. We are also proud to have received a ‘Good’ rating in our most recent Ofsted report.
